well, the plate was pretty easy. i’ve made it too small though. mistake. worse, i then took out a bit of the top plate to make it easier to see the bottom plate. second mistake. oh well. it’s not that important – the compass is now unnecessary anyway. but still a rush of blood to the head, the easy availability of a jigsaw cutter, and it’s lost some of it’s good looks.
the small comfort is that now i’ve got this new bottom plate i’m sure i’m going to motorise it…
anyway, here is the new set-up.
