the blurb
The beautiful double star in the constellation of cygnus shot from south-east spain on a canon 400d with william optics zenithstar 66 (and x 0.8 reducer).
This shot was a complete fluke. the camera and telescope were hanging off the EQ1 mount and pointing straight up at the sky. it was late and the EQ1 wasn’t tracking well. i wasn’t sure whether the camera was pointing at the right place let alone in focus. but just thought i’ld press ‘click’ and see what i got. settings were: ISO 1600, shutter Speed: 1 sec.
The first image is the whole field of view of the camera / telescope. The second image is a crop of that whole image at 100% size.
